We offer the following options for setting up the live stream:

A) You are using our YouTube channel. You can also use our Facebook, Twitch or Twitter channel. However, the best quality is provided by Youtube. This is free of charge for you.

B) You grant us editor rights for your channel(instructions here). Then we can manage your channel as an “editor” and, among other things, set up a live stream at any time and restart it if necessary.  (YouTube requires that your channel is a so-called “branded account”. If this is not the case, you have to change it first. Please note that this can take up to 48h. You can also set up a new YouTube channel). After the event you can remove us as “editor”. You never have to send us passwords this way. This service is free of charge for you.

C) You set up a live stream on your channel yourself and send us the RTMP data. Attention: With this option you also have to start or stop the live stream yourself, as we do not have access to your channel. In addition, you (or someone with access to the channel and the second factor) must also be on-site throughout the event in case the live stream goes down and needs to be reset. It rarely happens, but it does happen. The cause could be, for example, a temporary power or Internet failure. Even on YouTube itself, there are times when it tears down for no apparent reason. A new setup by you can then – depending on your speed – take 10 to 20 minutes. We therefore recommend this option only to experienced users. With this option, we also do not offer any guarantee of success, as we cannot perform any tests in advance. In addition, we charge a fee of 50 € per setup of the live stream for the additional effort, since the trading and testing of the so-called “RTMP data” is quite costly.

What we do not offer is that we dial into your channel with your login details and then set up the live stream for you on your channel.

Reasons:

A) For legal reasons we do not want  and are not allowed to manage sensitive customer data. We have no system to store such data appropriately securely and no insurance to compensate for loss. Please also change your password immediately if you have already sent your password to us or others.

B) Since we do not have permanent access to your so-called “second factor password” (usually an SMS to your private cell phone), the method also does not in fact enable us to provide any production security. Because in the event of a live stream cancellation, we would again be dependent on the availability of the “second factor”. The time it would take to organize this second factor during the live stream would be too long. After all, we have to be able to react there within seconds.

Therefore, please choose one of the three options above.
