The closet…endless expanses. What should I wear on stage?

We answer this question with a clear answer: wear something you feel comfortable in!

Technically, there are a few recommendations.

Fine plaid shirts (as in picture 1) are the enemy of every camera. At a certain distance, our cameras can hardly show these fine differences between colors or even light and dark. This results in the so-called moiré effect .

If the stage has a colored background such as a curtain, it is best to make the presenter’s clothes stand out against it (Figure 3). If the color of the outfit is too similar to the background, it is rather difficult for the viewer to watch in the long run.

The outfit must also fit the occasion.

Factual issues don’t need distractions. It’s about the theme, not the outfit (image 4). The topic is the focus of the live stream.

They present themselves to the outside world. Should you have a serious theme, such as poverty, the outfit should not represent the extreme opposite (Figure 5).

At the end of the day you are the one that has to choose. You present yourself, your topic and/or your organization.

Good luck!
